A Heritage® heat pump works all year ‘round, cooling your home in the summer and heating it in the winter. But, unlike a furnace, a heat pump doesn’t burn fuel to create heat. It uses electricity to move heat from one place to another. Our full line of heat pumps offer efficiencies of 8.3 to 9.65 HSPF, and 13 to 17.65 SEER. Indoor • Gas Furnaces

Our Freedom® furnaces range in efficiency from 80 to more than 92 percent. Every member of the family is designed to provide maximum heat for minimum fuel usage. However, as you climb the ladder from single-stage, to two-stage and variable speed Comfort-R™ furnaces, you’ll find an increasing number of benefits along the way. For example, two-stage heating makes a big difference during those transitional seasons when you need just a little heat to take the chill out of the air. And, our variable speed Comfort-R™ furnaces are perfect for removing moisture during humid summer months.

I put a lot of effort into making my home comfortable. What difference will the quality of my indoor air make?

There's a lot about indoor air quality that you might not know and certainly can't see. Up to 72 trillion microscopic irritants, or allergens, find their way into your home every day. They include dust, pollen, pet hair and dander, dust mites, mildew, lint, fungus, most tobacco smoke, cooking grease and bacteria. Many of these particles are so small that your nose and throat can't filter them out, and they can get deep into your lungs.

Isn't my indoor air already clean?

Actually, studies show that indoor air can be five times more polluted than outdoor air. Exposure to indoor air pollutants has increased in recent years, due to factors like these:

• Today's homes are better insulated and more tightly sealed than ever before, sealing in humidity, smoke, dust and other pollutants.

What about ionic-type room air cleaners or throwaway air filters?

Ionic-type room air cleaners are only effective within a certain radius. And buying one for each room at a cost of $300 to $500 a piece can be cost-prohibitive.

Sun-Pure SP-20 UltraViolet Room Air Purifier

The Sun-Pure Ultraviolet Air Purifier embodies unique purification technologies not found in any other air purifiers. A four stage filtration system removes particles as small as .1 microns (1/10th the size of bacteria) - combined with 2 layers of gas absorption media to remove toxic fumes and odors. An ultraviolet photo oxidation chamber kills bacteria and viruses too small to be removed by even the finest filters. Ultraviolet light creates residual activated oxygen and negative ions, keeping the air clean and fresh in exactly the same way sunlight and oxygen cleans the air we breathe in the outdoor environment. Advanced computerized electronic controls monitor air quality. Infrared motion detectors automatically reduce power consumption when there is no movement or dust making activity in the home. Built in electronic monitors keep track of air flow and volume as well as filter and ultraviolet lamp replacement time. A sleep mode reduces the sound level at night while still purifying room air at 70 percent of normal capacity.
